POWERS
- Executive Council
- The executive council shall be the chief executive body of the Association and shall conduct all affairs of the Association in accordance with the provision of the constitution.
- It shall have the power to
- Control and regulate the funds of the Association.
- Prepare and put up proposals for consideration of the general body
- Delegate any of its functions to a sub-committee composed of members or a member as may be determined by it.
- Determine the dates for holding
- Interpret any provisions of the constitution.
- Prepare any rules, regulations and procedures for carrying out its functions.
- Examine the budget and expenditure statement and place it before the general body.
- Intervene between members in order to achieve reconciliation in case of dispute between them but will not have the power to be partisan in favour of any one member against the other.
- It shall have the power to speak on behalf of any of its members if requested in writing in matters between a member and the University.

- The members of he executive council shall not loose their privileges as ordinary members by virtue of their posts
- All the actions taken by the executive council will be reported to general body
- PRESIDENT
The president shall have the following powers;
- He / She shall be the executive and administrative head of the executive council.
- He / She shall preside the meeting of the general body and the executive council.
- He / She shall have the power to sanction expenditure as approved by the Executive council.
- He / She shall advise the Secretary to issue notice for calling meetings of the Executive council and the General Body.
- He / She may call for the records of the association maintained by the Secretary and the Finance Secretary.
- He / She may cause inspection of the record of the association.
- He / She shall exercise all and any powers and function as delegated to him / her by the executive council.
- He / She may assign any duties to the other members of the executive council as may be necessary for fulfilling the functions of he Association.
- He / She shall be bound to defend the just rights an privileges of the Association as a whole and the members of the same in Chancellor’s Committee but shall not use his authority in matters which are not concerned with the objective of B.Z.U.A.S.A.
- VICE-PRESIDENT
The Vice-President shall have the following powers;
- He / She shall preside over the meetings of the general body and the Executive Council in the absence of the President.
- He / She shall perform such other duties as may be assigned to him / her by the Vice-President.
- SECRETARY
- He / She shall act as Secretary ex-officio of the General Body and the Executive Council.
- Under the general directions of the President he / she shall issue notice, agenda, working paper, etc. for the meetings of the General Body and the Executive council.
- He / She shall prepare and maintain record of the proceedings of the meetings.
- He / She shall perform such other duties as may be assigned to him / her by the President or the Executive Council.
- All accounts of the Association shall be maintained by the Finance Secretary and the Secretary Jointly and presented at the annual general meeting by the Secretary.
- On a signed requisition by at least 25 ordinary members, the Secretary shall furnish details of the accounts of the Association for their perusal.
- JOINT SECRETARY
The Joint Secretary of the association The Joint Secretary of the Association shall have the following powers;
- In the absence of the Secretary, the Joint Secretary shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Secretary.
- The Executive Council may assign such other duties as it deems fit to the joint Secretar
- FINANCE SECRETARY
- Finance Secretary shall exercise supervision on the income and expenditure of the Association and operate the account jointly with the Secretary.
- He / She shall be responsible for preparing the budget and placing it before the Executive Council within one month after taking charge of his / her office.
